RCMD is specialized in preparing political and cultural programs and projects in the field of conflict transformation and democratization. This is in addition to providing consulting services to political decision-making entities in Egypt, through creating necessary spaces for activists who are associated with the conflict issues to meet. It thus seeks developing a common and collective understanding in the form of initiatives for transforming the conflict, and contributing to the promotion of community harmony between groups/ movements and the state’s institutions with their different visions, through the development and promotion of conflict transformation mechanisms . This is done through focusing on issues arising from intersection between social, political, religious and economic tracks and conflicts. And also, studying democratic transition problems and subsequent institutional reform plans from a holistic perspective which includes understanding the intersections of bureaucracy with social, economic, political and sectarian tracks, in addition to trying to contribute to designing and developing public policies. In its first phase, RCMD focuses on Egypt in its work, extending to the Arab region in later phases.
