the Regional Center for Mediation and Dialogue has concluded self criticism project in February 2017.
The main objective of the project that has been implemented jointly with Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies was to present the idea of self criticism as strategic planning tool to participating political parties. This is in addition to encouraging participants to offer self criticism to their parties; and produce a manual presenting the experience and highlighting lessons learnt.
A specialized team of researchers has worked with a number of Egyptian political entities to undergo a process of self criticism to their stances and decisions since 25th Jan. revolution. The process then resulted in producing a manual explaining the process of self criticism in transitional periods, its importance, objectives, outcomes, and necessary rules to avert expected risks.
The project is seen as a step to give representatives of different political parties the chance through self criticism to develop their work by focusing on main stances of their parties throughout the transitional period.
Throughout the period from November 30, 2016 to January 23, 2017, five seminars have been held for representatives of liberal, leftist, Islamic and centrist parties.
